This replacement part does not contain the LED ribbon which illuminates the four buttons at the bottom of the screen, so removing it from your existing broken part and moving it the new part is necessary. This is achieved by gently removing it - prise the LED ribbon up from the screen with a plastic guitar pick. Do it slowly. Do not tug or pull on it.

The adhesive will probably stay attached to the existing housing, this can be removed and transferred (it's a small tape).

Good luck - mine took 2 hours - but is 100% successful!

General review comments:

Product itself appears to be of good quality. It's not OEM, just a good copy.

No engraving tool was supplied in the package. This doesn't really matter, but it's slightly dishonest.
No LED ribbon is included.
NO INSTRUCTIONS! - Yes we are intelligent and find our own through research, but simple indications are useful.

Not a job for the impatient or imperfect eyesight. The screws, connectors, etc. are extremely tiny. A magnifier lens that clips on your head is a huge help. No instructions or web links provided with kit, so I found video and instructions from [Amazon won't allow web links, so search for: repairs universe htc incredible], which were VERY helpful. They don't cover removing the microphone and 4 bottom LEDs to new frame. Also they aren't very clear that the 4 ribbon cables have black plastic bars that must be flipped to be vertical to release the ribbon cables.

WARNING: You need to be extremely careful removing the ear speaker!!!:
When removing the ear speaker (not the rear loud speaker) I used the plastic removal toot which couldn't reach in far enough. It ended up accidentally popping the top half of the speaker off, leaving the bottom half in the case, with two magnet wires (thinner than a human hair!) connecting the halves. Popping it up caused the magnet wires to unravel about 1 turn from the electromagnet coil. I tried to pack the extra slack all back in, then put phone back together but, voice from speaker was distorted, so I took it apart again. This time I tried more carefully to place the wires so they weren't suspended in space vibrating and causing distortion. Why trying to do this one of the wires broke off from magnet side. I tried to solder them back on which is nearly impossible as a) there is just not enough room for the solder iron tip to get in there, b) the magnet grabs the solder tip, and c) the wire is much too fine and delicate to position properly, and d) has a thin layer of insulation on it (I guessing about 1/10th of a human hair thickness!). GOOD NEWS: Several sellers on Ebay (could not find on Amazon) sell new speakers for under $10, so until I received the new one I just have to user speaker phone or earphones.
